A very special ceremony is planned for March 13 to recognize New Jersey’s inaugural K9 Veterans Day and to thank the supporters of the historic inaugural contingent,Military Working Dogs Service to America, in the 2012 New York City Veterans Day Parade, hosted by Tails of Hope Foundation and Finding One Another.

 

  • In New Jersey, the Honorable Kathleen A. Donovan, Bergen County Executive, will host a 5:30 p.m. ceremony for lead sponsors, supporters from Bergen County and New Jersey, and active duty and retired military working dog teams. This will be a patriotic ceremony in honor of New Jersey’s first K9 Veterans Day.  As New Jersey is the first of 11 states to pass legislation recognizing this special day, state and local dignitaries and media outlets have been invited.
