Jim passed away last night around 11:50 PM, his family was with him and he went peacefully.  He told his daughter’s that he loved them very much but it was time to go.  I don’t have any arraignments as of yet but will pass them on ASAP.  We all have lost a very dear friend and brother and he will be missed by all.  Please pray for Jim’s mom, his sister, and daughters to help get through this very difficult time.  Jim may you rest in piece, I know you will be guarding heaven’s gates until we meet again.

Marines & Friends

I’m very sorry to say that Jim went into the hospital yesterday and the diagnosis is not looking that good.  His daughter’s told me he won’t be coming home and that if people want to visit him to go ASAP.  The cancer has traveled to his bones, stomach, and lungs.  I was there today with a couple of friends from the VVA and he basically was just sleeping with very little response.  His mother (95 yrs old) came to visit Jim and was a total basket case seeing him laying there.  They are giving Jim meds to keep him comfortable and the priest came in to give him his last rights.  I was with Jim this past Wednesday at his home and he requested to me if I could ask our Marine Corps League Color Guard to have a couple of Marines stand by his coffin at the funeral and also to perform the burial ceremony with a bugler to play taps at the cemetery.  This is very hard for me to pass this information on to all you but I think you guys know how close we were and he is my best friend forever.  Please keep Jim in your prayers.
