This is just a reminder that the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will be holding a V-J Remembrance Day Observance combined with a State of New Jersey Medal Ceremony at 11 a.m. on Saturday, 7 September 2013.
The ceremony will take place at the New Jersey World War II Memorial located on West State Street across from the State House in Trenton.
Parking will be available in State Parking Area #31 located at the corner of West Hanover Street and North Willow Street. Shuttle service will be provided from the parking lot to the World War II Memorial.
State medals will be presented to fifty-four World War II veterans or their family members. With 225 confirmed attendees, we know that this will be a very special day.
In order to ensure seating for our State Veteran Organizations and their Commanders and Auxiliary Presidents, please confirm your attendance to me NLT Wednesday, 4 September 2013.
