Detachment Commandants,
The 2022 Northeast Division Conference is scheduled for April 1st and 2nd, 2022 and will be held at the Crown Plaza Princeton Conference Center located at 900 Scudder Mill Road in Plainsboro.
I have attached registration and ad book forms for your convenience should you wish to attend or submit an ad.
The NE Division Marine of the Year will be selected and announced at the conference. As Detachment Commandant, you have the authority to nominate a member of your detachment who is in good standing. Your candidate may be a member or dual member from the Departments of NJ, NY and/or PA.
I have enclosed the Northeast Division’s MOY Protocol which will guide through your selection and nomination process.
The second attachment relating to the NED MOY is Chapter 11 of the Dept of NJ’s Administrative Procedures which gives you the procedure for submitting your nomination. Please disregard the January 10th deadline date listed within Section 5. The MOY committee and Board of Trustees for the Dept of NJ have agreed to extend the deadline for your submissions to Monday, February 21st. The department NED MOY Selection Committee will select one nominee from the pool of received nominations to be forwarded to the NED MOY Committee as the Department of NJ’s nomination.
Since your submissions must be mailed to me, this really only leaves you about a week to get this job done. I know this does not allow for a lot of time to get this done, but with some effort we can meet the Department’s deadline date of March 1st, which is when I have to turn over the Department’s nominee to the Northeast Division Vice-Commandant.
