2nd Annual Philip Roxas Golf Benefit for Vetwork @ Bey Lea Golf Course

Join us at Bey Lea Golf Course for a special event honoring Philip Roxas and supporting Vetwork. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate his life and make a difference for our veterans. Enjoy a day filled with fun, food, and fundraising for a great cause. Don’t miss this chance to give back and remember a beloved member of our community!

Philip Roxas, a proud United States Air Force member, lost his battle with liver disease on May 12, 2024. His life was defined by unwavering service to his country and family, upholding the values of integrity, excellence, and selfless duty. His legacy continues to inspire us all.

Vetwork is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential services tailored to the evolving needs of our veteran community. Since 1984, our commitment to helping veterans has been unwavering, and we take pride in being the first and last call for those in need.

  • Format will be a 4-person scramble.
  • Entry fee is $175.00 per golfer or $700.00 per foursome
  • Golf package includes Lunch, 18 Holes with Cart, Swag Bag, Putting Green Availability,
    Dinner, Cash Bar, Prizes, and Gift Auction.
  • All single golfers & foursome tickets must be purchased online at Vetwork.org prior to
    the event starts or until they are sold out. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR

  • If you are not golfing and would like to join us for cocktail hour, dinner and gift auction,
    the tickets are $75.00 per person.
  • Dinner tickets include a cocktail hour with passed sushi appetizers followed by a dinner
    buffet, cash bar, and gift auction.
  • Dinner tickets must be purchased prior to the event. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.

Cape-Atlantic Detachment 16th Annual Golf Outing @ Blue Heron Pines Golf Club

The Cape-Atlantic Detachment of the Marine Corps League will host its 16th Annual Golf Outing on May 17, 2026, at Ron Jaworski’s Blue Heron Pines Golf Club in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey. The event raises funds to support South Jersey veterans while honoring their service and sacrifices.

Golfers will begin the day with sign-in from 7:00 a.m. to 7:50 a.m., followed by an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament will be played in a scramble format, with prizes awarded to the 1st Place Men’s and Women’s Teams, along with trophies for closest to the pin, longest drive, and straightest drive.

Participants will enjoy a full day of activities and hospitality, including continental breakfast with beer and soda, bottled water at the start and turn, and a backyard BBQ lunch following the outing. Guests who wish to attend only the luncheon can join the event at 1:00 p.m. for $30.

A highlight of the outing will be a hole-in-one contest on a selected par-3 hole, where the first golfer to make an ace will win a brand-new Chevrolet courtesy of Bennett Chevrolet. The event will also feature a chance auction with prizes such as dinners for two, baskets of cheer, and golf foursomes, along with a 50/50 raffle.

Registration is $175 per golfer, and businesses or supporters can participate through $100 hole sponsorships. Trophies for the event are being provided courtesy of Action Uniform.

Organizers encourage community members, golfers, and local businesses to participate and help support programs benefiting veterans throughout South Jersey.

Payments must be submitted by May 8, 2026, and checks should be made payable to MCL 194 Golf and mailed to P.O. Box 118, Absecon, NJ 08201. For more information, visit www.capeatlanticmcl.org or call 609-517-6466.

Match Format

  • Type: Garand or any precision rifle

  • Distance: 200 yards

  • Position: Sitting or prone

  • Target: MR-63

Equipment Rules

  • Firearms: Garand or any rifle legal in the State of New Jersey

  • Sights: Iron sights only (no scopes permitted)

  • Ammunition: No incendiary, tracer, or armor-piercing rounds allowed

  • Rounds: 16 rounds for record, plus sighters

Course of Fire

  • 10 minutes for sighters (coaching allowed)

  • 8 minutes to fire 8 rounds (no coaching; no radio communication between line and pits; no butt rests)

  • 80 seconds to fire 8 rounds (no coaching)

Scoring & Requirements

  • All scoring conducted in the pits

  • Each round individually scored

  • Patches must match the area hit (no black patches for aiming points)

  • All shooters are required to perform butt duty. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
