Cape-Atlantic Detachment Flag Pole Dedication Ceremony

Dear fellow American,

As we navigate these difficult times we must never forget our Veterans who served, fought, and died for the freedoms that we enjoy every day. While our Detachment was conducting our Memorial Day Ceremony this year honoring our fallen brothers and sisters it was found that our wooden flag pole had rotted and was unrepairable and hazardous. We had it taken down for everyone’s safety.

Next, we began a fund drive to help raise funds for a new flag pole. In preparation, volunteers from the Detachment and a few local businesses lent a hand to prepare the area for the installation. Ultimately, through some very generous donations, we installed our new flag pole on August 19th. It stands majestically overlooking our building and grounds. To finish, we adorned it with new flags.

Please join us on November 14th at 11:00 a.m. for the presentation and dedication of our new flag pole and ceremony area. The flag pole will be dedicated in honor of our fallen brother, Joseph Patrick, whose tour of duty ended July 8, 2020.
