Dear Sir or Madam,

It has been over 3 years since we have had a local area formal Marine Corps Birthday Ball. Along with that the funds raised for Toys for Tots have not been what they were prior to the pandemic. Donations have decreased while the need has increased. We are holding a 248th Marine Corps Birthday Ball to address both of those issues and we hope we can count on your support.

Anyone is welcome, not just Marines! If you have attended a Marine Corps Birthday Ball before you know how impressive they are with the formal ceremony and cake cutting. If you have never attended a Birthday Ball, you will have a great time enjoying the ceremony, partaking of delicious food, and getting escorted to your table by a Marine in dress blues! Please mark your calendars, make a reservation and/or buy an ad in our program book (see attached). We need you and the kids need you!

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. Last year, 2022, our area of operation, which includes Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon, and Union Counties, dispensed over 66,000 toys to families in need.

Even though the campaign is manned by volunteers, funds are needed to purchase toys, rent warehouse space, rent trucks for distribution and pick up, fuel, and supplies. Your support will help to make this event a great success in 2023. The Marine Corps motto, Semper Fidelis, is a code that all members live by in their daily lives. “Semper Fidelis” is Latin for “Always Faithful” and represents a brotherhood and sisterhood that can always be counted on in any situation. It guides Marines to remain faithful to the mission at hand, to each other, to the Corps and to country. Your donation will enable us to fulfill our obligation to our motto and all that it stands for and represents.

Join us for a formal ball Friday, Novemebr 17th from 6PM-10PM at the Beaver Brook Country Club.  Enjoy cocktail hour with open bar from 6-7pm followed by a birthday ceremony, plated dinner, dessert and a Marine of the Year presentation. After the presentation we will open up the dance floor with a DJ & open bar. Formal photos available for an additional fee.
