The Hunterdon County Bulldogs Marine Corps League is pleased to announce our forth annual golf classic will be held at Beaver Brook Country Club on Friday, September 12th from 8AM-4PM. 

• Registrations begins at 8:00 am
• Shotgun start at 9:00 am
• Lunch approx. 2:00 pm
• Cigar Rolling approx. 2:00-4:00 pm
• 2 hr Open bar approx. 2:00-4:00 pm

Golfer Rate Includes:

18 holes of golf with cart, warm-up breakfast at check in, 2 tickets for drink cart, snacks and water in golfer bag, hot dog & beer on the turn, bourbon tasting, lunch buffet, mobile cigar lounge, open bar during lunch.

Contest Holes:

Hole in one, closest to the pin, longest drive, beat the pro and putting contest holes.

Registration

Registration can be done on our online registration form or download our golf registration flier and fill out the registration form to mail checks. No registrations will be accepted the day of the event. All golfers must be pre-registered. Email golf@hcmcl.org with any questions.

Sponsorships and Scholarship Donations

Sponsorships from this golf outing support our annual Hunterdon County Marine Corps League Scholarship fund. Last year we raised $18,092 in scholarship funds for 2025 graduating high school seniors in Hunterdon County. The Marine Corps League Lakeland Detachment 744 invites the community to enjoy a hearty meal at its Monthly Breakfast on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event will take place at the American Legion Hall Post #369, 65 Oak Street, Oakland, NJ.

Guests can look forward to a delicious spread featuring made-to-order fresh eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, cheesy hash brown casserole, SOS with biscuits and sausage gravy, waffles, pancakes, French toast, eggs Benedict, bagels, muffins, pastries, and fresh coffee and juice.

Admission is $18 for adults and $10 for children, with kids under 10 eating free. The breakfast offers something for everyone, making it the perfect outing for families, friends, and neighbors.

All proceeds will support the efforts of Marine Corps League Lakeland Detachment 744, helping the organization continue its community service and veteran-focused initiatives.

The 2025 Stand Down of South Jersey will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 8:30am to 12:30pm at the Cherry Hill Armory, Grove & Park Blvd, Cherry Hill, NJ.  If you are a homeless or at risk veteran wishing to attend for services, please register on our website. If you can not register online, call 609-238-1452 to register. Veteran ID/Proof of Service will be required prior to entry. Veterans only – no family/children.

We do offer 2 Bus Shuttles for the homeless/at risk veterans that may need it. One shuttle from Trenton City Hall and one shuttle from Camden VA Clinic. Complete details on the website.

Stand Down of South Jersey is a 501 (c)(3) charity organized to provide outreach, medical screening, clothing and lunch for homeless and at-risk veterans in the ten southern counties of New Jersey.

We conduct the Stand Down of South Jersey every year at the Cherry Hill National Guard Armory which was founded by SFC Robert H. Yancey, Sr. This event is typically held on the fourth Friday of September. The  event is staffed entirely by volunteers and in 2024 we had more than 200 volunteers. We hosted 160 Veterans in 2024 (17 Female and 143 male). The New Jersey National Guard provides building security and personnel to assist with setting up for the event. The New Jersey 177th Air Guard provides medical personnel to augment the nearly 75 Veterans Administration personnel. The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (NJ DMAVA) provides use of the National Guard Armory building, transportation for veterans from Mercer County and administrative support.

The Marine Corps League Lakeland Detachment #744 is proud to announce its Thirty-Fifth Annual Marine Corps Ball, commemorating the 250th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps.

The celebration will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Macaluso’s Restaurant in Pompton Lakes, NJ. This milestone event honors the founding of the Marine Corps in 1775 and continues a time-honored tradition of fellowship, pride, and remembrance.
